Bravo Reactive Inks
For cotton, viscose, silk and wool
Outstanding colour strength and the deepest black available in the market, formulated with anti clogging technology for high speed industrial piezo printheads.

What it prints on
Works on
Cotton, viscose, silk, wool, linen and other cellulosic and protein fibres.
Does not work on
Polyester, nylon or synthetic blends.
For polyester use Bravo Sublimation. For mixed fibre inventory use Bravo Pigment.
Why reactive
Colour strength that holds
Reactive dye forms a covalent bond with the fibre rather than sitting on top of it. The colour becomes part of the cloth, which is why reactive still leads on wash fastness and why the hand stays soft after finishing.
The deepest black available in the market
Our Deep Black is the strongest in the range, developed for the solid grounds and dark florals that expose a weak black immediately.
Built for high speed piezo heads
Formulated and tested on industrial printheads running at production speed, not on a desktop machine and hoped for at scale.
Anti clogging formulation
Our formulation technology is built to reduce nozzle blockage during long runs and restart cleanly after idle periods. Fewer interruptions, less purging, less ink in the waste tray.
Consistent, reproducible results
Repeat orders that match the first one, across cotton, viscose, silk and wool.
A contribution to sustainable printing
Digital reactive printing uses a fraction of the water and dye of conventional rotary screen printing, with no screens, no engraving and no colour kitchen waste.
Nine colours
- Cyan
- Magenta
- Yellow
- Black
- Deep Black
- Grey
- Red
- Orange
- Blue
Most reactive ranges stop at CMYK. Orange, blue, red and grey extend the achievable gamut considerably, particularly on the deep reds and clean blues that CMYK alone renders dull. Grey is what makes neutral shadow detail possible without muddying it through composite black.
Five steps
Pretreat
Fabric is padded with alginate thickener, urea and alkali, then dried. This step decides print sharpness. Almost every complaint about bleeding starts here.
Print
Bravo reactive ink, direct to fabric.
Steam
Saturated steam fixes the dye to the fibre and forms the covalent bond.
Wash off
Unfixed dye and thickener are washed out. This is what makes the hand soft and the wash fastness real.
Dry and finish
Full parameters, temperatures and times, will be published in the pretreatment and fixation guide once confirmed from production.
Proven on four printhead families
- Kyocera
- Epson
- Starfire
- Ricoh
Ink suited to one printhead family is not suited to another. Viscosity windows differ between platforms, and a formulation aimed at the middle of both jets poorly at each end. Tell us your printhead model when you request a quote and we will confirm the right formulation for your machine.
Further reactive ranges are available covering all common printhead technology. Ask us about your platform.
Pack sizes
To be confirmed: sizes from the photos: roughly 1L bottle, 5L can, 20L drum
